EXPANSION: Go Store It Self-Storage expands its recreational storage platform with the opening of a 105-space vehicle storage facility in Bonita Springs. The facility, part of Madison Capital Group’s expanding platform following the BlueGate integration, features gated access, an eight-foot concrete perimeter wall, and convenient access to Interstate 75 and Gulf Coast waterways. Scott Hastings said the new property offers secure canopy-covered storage for boats, RVs, and recreational vehicles, while Banks Brown noted the opening strengthens the company’s presence in Florida’s growing outdoor recreation market.

DEVELOPMENT: Commission approves self-storage development in Palm Springs, California. The project, backed by a new applicant, will deliver a 92,400 SF, two-story facility with 52 RV parking spaces on a 4.2-acre site. Kathy Weremiuk confirmed the approval, while Chris Hadwin noted the city is evaluating potential limits on future self-storage developments as part of ongoing planning efforts.

FINANCING: Talonvest Capital arranges $64M in refinancing for a five-property self-storage portfolio across Rancho Santa Margarita, Pasadena, Northridge, Hollywood, and Sacramento. The portfolio includes 3,643 units totaling 344,616 rentable SF, financed through 10-year, non-recourse loans with fixed rates and interest-only terms. Eric Snyder, Kim Bishop, Mason Brusseau, and Lauren Maehler arranged the financing on behalf of SoCal Self Storage.

DEVELOPMENT: DXD Capital opens a Class A self-storage facility in Georgetown, Texas with operations managed by Extra Space Storage. The 94,975 SF, five-story property at 2040 Airport Road marks DXD Capital’s first completed project from its recent development pipeline and was built in partnership with Mar-Gulf Management Inc. and MDI Capital LLC. The facility features 1,021 climate-controlled units and sits near Interstate 35, with Capco General Contracting serving as general contractor.
