NEWS ROUNDUP

ACQUISITION: Marcus & Millichap has arranged the sale of HP Storage, a 314-unit self-storage facility in Houston, Texas. The 59,935 SF facility sits on 4.53 acres and includes climate-controlled units, drive-up storage and retail-flex space across multiple buildings developed between 2016 and 2019. Dave Knobler, Mixson Staffel and Charles “Chico” LeClaire represented the seller, a Texas-based developer, and also procured the New York-based LLC buyer.

ACQUISITION: Argus Self Storage Advisors arranges the sale of Oscar’s Mini Storage in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for $4.5M. The 74,133 SF facility at 2209 W. 5th Street includes drive-up units, climate-controlled storage, warehouse space and 119 outdoor parking spaces across multiple buildings. Nathan Gottlieb of Area Storage Advisors represented the seller in the transaction, which closed on March 27, 2026.

DEVELOPMENT: SurePoint Development begins construction on a new Class A self-storage facility in The Woodlands, Texas. The facility at Six Pines Drive and Lake Front Circle will deliver 90,000 rentable SF of climate-controlled storage within the Howard Hughes master-planned community. Clint Wynn, Robert Loeb, Jeff Bailey and Brian Cisarik are leading the project, which marks the company’s tenth Houston-area development.

FINANCING: JLL Capital Markets arranges construction financing for Extra Space Hillsborough, a 709-unit self-storage project in Hillsborough, New Jersey. The 105,663 SF facility at 35 Bedle St. is scheduled for completion in 2027, with operations to be managed by Extra Space Storage. Michael Klein, Nazario Paragano and Michael Donohoe secured a five-year construction and bridge loan through Provident Bank on behalf of borrower Shadowbrook Capital.
