ACQUISITION: Public Storage acquires CubeSmart (Managed) Self Storage in San Antonio, Texas. The Class A facility at 7930 S.W. Loop 410 totals 115,240 SF across 645 units on 10.66 acres. Built in 2023, the property was approximately 89% occupied at the time of sale and will be rebranded as Public Storage. Jon Danklefs of Marcus & Millichap exclusively represented the New Jersey-based limited liability company seller and procured the buyer, Public Storage.

DEVELOPMENT: Blue Bird Mini Storage LLC receives approval to expand its self-storage development at 1509 Level Grove Road in Cornelia, Georgia. The approved amendment allows additional self-storage buildings on the front portion of the site after the Cornelia City Commission voted 3-1 in favor of the project. Civil engineer James Urban presented the revised plans for the developer. Commissioner Mark Reed voted against the proposal, while Commissioner Janice Griggs, Commissioner Don Bagwell, City Manager Donald Anderson, and resident Jonathan Mark participated in the discussion. Todd Campbell also worked with the city to address concerns related to the nearby Level Grove Cemetery.

DEVELOPMENT: SecureSpace Self Storage opens SecureSpace San Diego Encanto at 5950 Federal Blvd. in San Diego, California. The three-story facility offers 51,190 SF of storage space across 555 units and eight rentable parking spaces. The property is being upgraded with a redesigned leasing office, AI-enabled security systems, complimentary Wi-Fi, and other technology enhancements. The opening marks SecureSpace's fourth location in the San Diego metropolitan area, with a fifth facility currently under construction.

DEVELOPMENT: Westport Properties celebrates the ribbon cutting of a US Storage Centers-managed self-storage facility in Titusville, Florida. The facility adds more than 98,000 SF and 928 storage units to the company's managed portfolio and offers climate-controlled units, covered and enclosed RV parking, passenger elevators, loading docks, and electronic gated access. Charles Byerly marked the grand opening as the company continues expanding the US Storage Centers brand across Florida's Space Coast.
