ACQUISITION: Argus Self Storage Advisors arranges the sale of D&S Self Storage in Evansdale, Iowa. Built in 2012, the facility spans 11,800 rentable SF across 71 units on 1.25 acres and was 94% occupied at the time of sale. Alex Ihrke of Area Storage Advisors represented the seller and completed the transaction with a local operator as the buyer.

EXPANSION: Richland Creek Storage receives approval to expand its facility in Waynesville, North Carolina. The Waynesville Planning Board granted a special use permit allowing the addition of approximately 75 to 80 new storage units at the West Marshall Street location following a rezoning process. The expansion will increase capacity at the long-standing facility, which is located near Recreation Park and nearby residential developments.

DEVELOPMENT: U-Haul opens U-Haul Moving & Storage of Rossford at 10212 Sportsman Drive in Rossford, Ohio. The nine-acre site includes a 127,832 SF facility with 431 climate-controlled units currently available, with plans to expand to 1,067 units. The project was supported by Mayor Neil MacKinnon III, with operations led by Chris Arndt, Desiree Johnson, and Josh Stevens. The development will create 10 jobs and offer storage, moving services, and U-Box container capacity, along with the company’s 1-Year Price Lock program.

DEVELOPMENT: The Ardent Companies opens a Class A self-storage facility at 1525 Railroad Ave. in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Developed in partnership with Diamond Point Development, the five-story property spans 127,411 SF and will be operated by Extra Space Storage. Ricardo De Rojas said the project marks the ninth delivery within Ardent’s Self-Storage Development Fund II, reflecting continued demand in Northeast infill markets.
